Certification Program
The Matrix Foundation was established in 1998 to promote the advancement of women in the communications profession by providing funds for education, research and publications. The Foundation carries out its educational and charitable goals in cooperation with the Association for Women in Communications.
One of the Foundation’s initiatives is the Professional Certification Program that offers you the opportunity to become a Certified Communications Professional (CCP).
Certification is achieved by points earned through your efforts on and off the job. The requirement for certification is a total of 3,000 points (1,500 points from professional and volunteer activities and 1,500 points from education activities). You are probably already part way to your goal because you may count activities from the past five years as well as those you perform for three years after you begin the program.
